📽 Our latest video update on SLS 2.0 showcases the reassembly of the first arc of the 12 that will make the 288-meter-long storage ring of the #SwissLightSource #SLS. 💢 Step 1: The arc, constructed with girders, several magnets, a vacuum chamber, and numerous beam diagnostic elements, is meticulously mounted on the 'mock-up line' — a replica section of the ring permanently installed in the Swiss Light Source hall, outside the SLS ring. 💢 Step 2: Following precise adjustments by our engineers to ensure optimal positioning of all components on the girders, the arc and its elements are one by one carefully transferred inside the SLS tunnel. Think it sounds straightforward?
